Theory: sexual morality stem from genetic wisdom....
Still on a kick about the The Cosmic Serpent by Jeremy Narby, a book about ethnobotany in the Amazon and a possible link between genetics and shamansim, I think I might understand some reason for morals about sexuality, particularly homosexuality and male dominence.
Ok, this might seem way out there, but I'm taking a theory and pushing it an extreme.
If the "cosmic serpents" are the streams of consciousness of our DNA, and the DNA (present in all living orgnisms) can communicate with us through the use of certain neurotransmission agents (dimethyltriptomene, nicotene, etc.), then it could communicate to the organism it forms the actions that organism needs to take to spread its DNA further. Men are the fastest spreaders of genetic material: at the age of 15 physical capable of creating up to 16 new humans (1 pregnancy per waking hour, provided he is practiced and worked like a stud horse). Homosexuality wastes useful RNA. Realizing the limitations of that genetic pattern of humans (sex-based pleasure), the DNA, mistaken as spirits by humans getting high of various plant chemicals, tells humans that men are more important, and homosexuality is wrong.
Alternately, men are stronger so women are pushed down. Pain makes some men afraid of being "used" sexually.
Occam's razor suggest the later reason is sufficient, but I can't get my mind off of my initial theory. I just needed to get that out of my brain.
