I have two theories, and I would love to hear what others about them and their implications.
The Theory of Reverse Reincarnation: a Summary
-------------------------------------------
Cosmologically, our consciousnesses were brought to life with pre-built memories and determined circumstances [such as joan was born at the end of time, and given circumstances (ie. grandparents, newspapers) sufficient to present her with an accurate image of the past]. The consciousness spends its life determining what would make life better, and then is reincarnated into a past life with an objective of correcting the mistakes of the past. The consciousness, experiencing the past-person's point of view, may decide that the course of action taken was the best, and could abandon their objective [Joan thought that the German's were cowards for not standing up against the Nazi regime, but then reincarnated as a WW2 German felt that it was better not resist]. The consciousness could be perfectly aware of the chronological-past. Since the chronological-future changes pending the decisions made by the consciousness as it moves into the chronological-past, the consciousness's previous lives are erased and unable to be accessed or referred to [Joan wanting the German's to stand up against the Nazi's depends on Joan-reincarnated-as-a-German standing up against the Nazi's. Since Joan's opinion cannot be formed until Joan-as-German makes her decision, Joan-as-German cannot remember Joan's opinion].
The Theory of Simultaneous Reincarnation: a Summary
----------------------------------------------
To gain a higher understanding, the consciousness reincarnates into entities close to its original incarnation to evaluate its decisions from a different perspective. [You are a reincarnation of your best friend, and will reincarnate into your mother.]
Any thoughts?
